Life is not easy, and success does not just happen.  It takes hard work and it takes the belief that you are able to get through the worst days and keep going.  Your ability to believe in what is possible is your first important step.

Despite what the imposter syndrome quiz tells me, I sometimes feel like I have my own version of it.   Sometimes catching myself wondering if my success is deserved.

When the going gets tough, do you keep fighting, or walk away thinking that there is no point in even trying?

We all have those moments in our lives when we need the extra boost of motivation.  Not just from the outside, but from the inside.  That is what this #5MinMotivation series is about.  Finding those few minutes to invest in yourself and fire up new charges so that you can keep going.

Motivation is defined as internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal.

Motivation is something that needs a continued investment to make it consistent.  One of my favorite quotes is from Zig Ziglar on motivation.

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar

The video below featuring Keshave Bhatt shares some insight on what you can do during those tough moments.  Keshave mentions how success is a setup.  You have to set yourself up to succeed.

How do you turn what is possible, into what is very probable?  How do you align your domino chips in a way that make it fall exactly how you want it to?

A great question he asks in the video is to look at your life, your habits, the people you hang around.  Are they numbing you or awakening you?

How will you set up your life for success?  If you want different results, you need to behave and act differently.  It starts with immersing yourself in an environment that challenges and awakens you.  Don’t waste your time on actions or events that take you away from your goals.

Build habits and spend your time with people that challenge you to become more.
