It can be your house, workplace, playground, toilet, and you name it.
Spreading Christmas cheer can be anything, and decorating our homes and areas can have every ornament that we like, that our loved ones like. It can be anything, such as a Harry Potter ribbon for the Christmas tree, toys that the children love, figurines, and Christmas symbols. After all, the essence of Christmas is to make people happy, to give and share as an act of love.
Christmas Tree Decorations Symbolism
The Christmas tree has a lot of ornaments every time we gaze upon it, and every time, it always looks so magical. If you need to buy a tree itself, you can search online for ‘xmas trees‘ to find the most suitable one. Trees can have all these shining stars, Christmas balls, ribbons, and everything nice. But do you wonder what those decorations symbolize?
Christmas tree decorations can be as simple, minimal, light, colorful, or elaborate as you choose, but each ornament contains religious symbolism! Sure, you can put any decoration and ornament that you desire that makes you and your loved ones happy, but there is meaning to the traditional ones. But let this help you be unique and creative with your Christmas trees.
Star
First and foremost, the star; can be seen around the body of the Christmas tree, especially at the top. The star symbolizes the Bethlehem Star, which the Three Wise Men were led and guided upon to the manger where Jesus Christ was delivered. It is usually prominently big and significant to emphasize its meaning and role in the Christmas tree and on Christmas itself.
Bells
The Bell is also one of the most prominent decorations on our Christmas trees, symbolizing the arrival of the missing sheep as it returns the lost sheep to the herd.
Candles
The Candle symbolizes Jesus as a Divine Light that all Christians must embrace, the very same illumination that guided the Three Wise Men.
Gift Bows
The Gift Bow represents any Christian’s dedication to perpetual benevolence.
Candy Canes
The Candy Cane is the crook utilized by the Good Shepherd to retrieve back the missing sheep.
Christmas Balls
And, of course, the Christmas Tree would be utterly incomplete and sad looking without colorful balls! The shiny and eye-catching Christmas balls come in different colors with their own symbolism.
Wreath
Finally, the Wreath represents God’s Eternal Love for us and the whole world. As the bible says, on exact quote on quote, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
And after all, is said and done, most individuals usually remove their Christmas decorations, including decorative Christmas plants, on the 12th day following Christmas, or January 5. However, some households keep their decorations intact until they feel like it’s no longer needed. But nonetheless, everyone can put up their Christmas decorations however and whenever they like. It doesn’t have to be so grand; as long as it makes you and your holiday seasons merry, that’s all that matters.
