Sergey Tokarev from Roosh: The Powerful AI Community Launches an AI Camp for Ukrainians

ROOSH is one of the Ukrainian tech companies that creates and develops technologies and invests in them. This year, the company is launching a new project called AI HOUSE camp for all related to technology. The co-founder of ROOSH, Sergey Tokarev, shared the camp’s main objective and explained its program.

What does AI HOUSE stand for?

AI HOUSE is a non-profit organization aimed at building the largest and most powerful AI community in Ukraine. Also, it focused on creating new AI product startups and developing the artificial intelligence industry and the technology sector at large. Sergey Tokarev adds that AI HOUSE is a part of the ROOSH ecosystem.

What is the AI HOUSE Camp 2023 created for?

AI HOUSE Camp is to help ambitious specialists generate successful AI startup ideas and allow developers to improve their products. The event will be conducted five days offline in Lviv from 11 to 15 September.

“At Roosh, we know how to grow startups and invest in new ideas. Therefore, our AI HOUSE team is launching a Camp that gathers the most ambitious AI specialists to create Generative AI startups. 5 days of full immersion in work, where you will generate ideas and share experiences with like-minded people,” says Tokarev.

Who can apply for the five-day AI camp?

The organizer of the AI HOUSE camp invites engineers, researchers, project managers, and marketing specialists to join the event. People who don’t have any tech education but want to dive into this area also can join it. Sergey Tokarev specifies that the registration form is available to submit till 28 August 2023.

What is the program of the camp?

The project accepts only 35 candidates, and the selection will be based on their experiences and ideas. According to the event program, they will be divided into seven teams. Each team will get a task to complete, which includes developing a certain idea with their mentor’s assistance.

“AI HOUSE Camp 2023 is an important initiative to achieve our mission to promote creating new AI product companies and developing artificial intelligence in Ukraine. We want to combine AI and ML enthusiasts from all over the country with experienced mentors to create new Generative AI solutions and implement ideas that will shape the future,” says the AI HOUSE team.

Do the camp winners receive any prizes?

Only the teams with the best innovative solutions will be awarded by partners. Among them are ROOSH, the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the Ukrainian Catholic University, and one of the largest R&D centers in Ukraine SQUAD. The most successful cases will be considered by the tech company ROOSH for further investment and scaling.

A range of IT experts will estimate the final works of participants. They are CTO and co-founder of Reface Oles Petriv, Investment Analyst at Roosh Ventures Anna Melnychuk, Head of Research at SQUAD Oleksandr Zarechkovy, and co-founder and Head of R&D of ZibraAI startup Vlad Zavadsky.

How much does it cost to join the camp?

The AI HOUSE initiative provides a donation of 1000 hryvnia or more. The organizer covers the rest of the expenses. According to Sergey Tokarev, all proceeds will be transferred to Reaktivna Poshta.
