Two-thirds of Companies Now Training Staff on AI – But Governance Gaps Remain, New Gallagher Report Reveals

Gallagher has released its AI Adoption and Risk Survey, drawing on insights from over 1,200 global businesses. As the pace of AI adoption speeds up across the world, the findings highlight how organisations/organizations are ramping up their investments into AI training and enablement for their employees.

For many global companies, AI is available in the workplace, shaping strategy and powering productivity. As organizations scale their use of AI, risk oversight and clear policies will become increasingly important – but some companies are still lagging behind in creating governance strategies and coherent adoption and enablement programmes/programs to support effective change.

Key findings from the report include:

  • Nearly two thirds (62%) of global businesses have delivered AI training in the last year, while 55% have hired for AI-focused roles
  • 86% say AI has improved employee productivity, reinforcing the technology’s growing impact on how work gets done
  • Governance is becoming a key priority, with 56% of organizations already communicating their AI strategy to employees.
  • However, many organizations are still catching up on governance frameworks with 43% yet to introduce formal AI risk management frameworks
