Do More With Your Role

Your role as a…whatever it is you do… is probably at its most basic form at the minute. You most likely haven’t made any career moves to make your life easier at work. If you have, then you definitely need to jump ship, which we will talk about later. But, to do more with your career role, you need to make sure you’re applying yourself, and you’re actively seeking out a promotion. To seek out a promotion, there is a whole new world of things you’re going to have to try and do, that you probably won’t have thought about doing before. Item number one on the list, is get yourself more qualified. If you’re at the bottom of the pecking order at the minute, then chances are that you won’t have needed much to join the job. Unless of course you work in a highly skilled job, then things are different. But whether you had to be qualified or not, there are always things that you can be doing to up your chances of getting a promotion. For example, a lot of construction, factory, and other lines of work require people to have a forklift drivers license. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is easy. If you have a forklift license, people actually are willing to pay up to $1000 a week for you, and that could definitely help ease your work life boredom! You can learn more about that through the link provided. But, if your role doesn’t require something like that for a promotion, you need to be seeking out what will. Even if it means taking time out of your day, money out of your wallet etc. it’s all going to be worth doing when you move up the ladder. The higher up you go, the more interesting it’s going to get!

Get In To A Better Routine

Your nighttime and morning routine really is going to set the wheels in motion here. No, we’re not trying to parent you, although this is definitely about to sound like it. But, if you go home, watch rubbish TV, eat rubbish food, and stay up until all hours of the morning, then you’re not going to fulfill yourself. For one, the junk food and doing nothing makes you feel sluggish physically, and depressed mentally. You will feel like you’re not accomplishing any of your goals, which you’re not. So, as much as possible, make sure that you’re getting up and doing something engaging. Looking after your health to fuel your mind is so important with work. The next thing you need to do is get to bed early. How on earth are you ever going to be able to enjoy your job, if every morning all you do is wake up and peel your eyes back, and wish you could go back to sleep. Ensuring you get a solid 8 hours sleep will solve a lot of your problems, we do promise you that! Finally, start the day off right with a healthy breakfast, plenty of water, and a healthy dose of PMA. You will feel so much better during the day if you follow all of that, we promise!

Make Some Friends!

If you’re the one person who comes into work, speaks to as minimal people as possible, eats in the car, and goes home, then of course you’re going to be bored at work. Some people just don’t invest themselves socially in a role, and we think this is one of the worst things that you can do. Having a good work social life is what will get you through the day, so don’t be so uptight about only being there to work. If you let yourself go a little, and focus more on being happy and chatty at work, parts of the day will soon fly by. We won’t say that it’ll solve everything, but it definitely does help along the way. What’s more, you will most likely be able to make some great friends through work, and getting out and about after work to meet up might become a regular thing, giving you an even better social life.

Jump Ship

We want to finish off with a little be all and end all for a lot of you. Sometimes, all of the advice that we’ve just listed above won’t work, and you’re going to be left feeling miserable with your role. When this happens, and when you really have tried everything above, it’s time for you to jump ship and find something that actually interests you. There will be plenty of roles out there, you just need to find one that’s completely different to the one you’re doing at the minute.
