I am sure you have received some during some point in your life. Parents love to give it and children hate to receive it. Advice is something that you can receive from just about anywhere. From the people you know, books, podcasts or even around Social Media. I always tend to look at the motivation behind the advice first. Is it to support, help, or given out of some need to feel superior? Whatever the motive, some advice sticks with you throughout your life.
One advice my Mom loved to repeat was, “Take your time and you will get there faster”. When I first heard this as a child, I really did not understand the full extent of its meaning. In fact, it can have multiple meanings:
Before you head towards your destination, make sure it is really where you want to go.
Take your time driving, avoid accidents and get to your destination quicker.
Reflect on the intention of your message first, before communicating. This will avoid a lot of misunderstanding later on.
To be honest, I think my Mom was referring to the second point but advice can sometimes be seen from different angles.
Here are Some of The Best Advice That was Found Online:
Control Your Clicker

Why Brick Walls Exist:
From Randy Pausch’s famous speech, “The Last Lecture”.
“The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want something badly enough. They are there to keep out the other people.”
Setbacks:
Sir Richard Branson, entrepreneur
My mother, Eve, always taught me never to look back in regret but to move on to the next thing. A setback is never a bad experience, just another one of life’s lessons.
