How To Win The Day With The Five Minute Journal #5MinMotivation

5-minute-Journal

There are many tools available to help you win your day.  There are also many best practices that are shared by some of the most successful Entrepreneurs.  One of those is the power of journal writing.  If you have yet to start this habit, it may be worth your time.  A simple way to start is by trying out the Five Minute Journal App.  It can help start your journey to win the day.

I was first introduced to the app by listening to a podcast.  The podcaster referenced how great a tool it was.  My interest was peaked but I didn’t take action.  After hearing about the benefits of this app with a few more podcasters, I knew I needed to take a few minutes and give it a try.

The power of this five-minute journal is in its simplicity.

You start your day by filling in three parts:

  1. 3 Things you are grateful for. The idea is to come up with three new things every day.
  2. What will you do to make today great?
  3. A daily affirmation

Every night, you end your day with two sections:

  1. 3 Amazing things that happened during the day.
  2. How could you have made your day better?

It helps you realize that you can be grateful for just about anything.

It helps you not only start your day in gratitude, but focus on the actions that will make your day great.

Gives you an Attitude of Gratitude

Plus…

Helps you focus on Your Most Important Tasks

Then…

Reflect on what went right and how you can make it better next time.

All key ingredients to win your day.

What was I grateful for today?

  • My 8-year-old son ran to hug me as soon as he woke up.
  • Coffee
  • Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Yes, even peanut butter sandwiches.

There are a lot of people in the world who would love any type of sandwich.

When you train your mind to be grateful for the little things, it builds momentum and makes it easier to find more moments of happiness and motivation.

For those who prefer the non-electronic version, you can get The Five Minute Journal Notebook.

Give it a try and let me what you think.
