Go Small or Go Home: Subtle Ways We Can Promote Our Brand

Learning to grow your business has a lot to do with prompting yourself properly. When we promote our brand the common mistake is that we have to go in all guns blazing. When we are marketing our brand, we’ve also got to think about subtle approaches to marketing. Let’s show you some of the more minimal methods to master.

Logo Placement

Logos are critical to communicating your brand, and one of the major oversights is that we think they have to be on big billboards. In fact, there are a number of different ways to put your branding out there; your branding can go on products- placing your logo on heavy duty stickers that go on tools can be a little way to enter the subconscious of an individual. Of course, there’s other ways of doing it, like on mugs and pens, but you have to think about the subtle approach to product placement. Your logo should stand out, and as we are all bombarded by ads at every turn, we have to start thinking creatively. Having logos placed on less obvious things makes it stick out in the mind, which is where something like car stickers has been invaluable for many businesses on a local level.

Don’t Just Advertise, Be Human

There are so many ways to be different from everyone else. Because business is all about pushing products, we have to remember that as we start to think about how we can differentiate ourselves, being more human is a major curveball. We always hear about how we should be bolder in our advertising, and more humane is a very simple way to do it. Again, it goes back to the deluge of information we all experience as consumers; because there’s so much in the way of advertisement, trying to get through the noise is even more difficult. This is where you see businesses that humanize their promotion. A good example was the Twitter spat between Cap’n Crunch and the KFC Colonel, but you can do it in terms of your social media posts by, very simply, toning down the “promo speak.”

Reach Out to Forums

Forums are a great way to showcase authority on specific subjects. When you reach out to forum posters, you can cut through. The biggest problem we will have when we search online is that the website that is typically the most SEO-optimized is right at the top. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you can get the right answer instantly, which is why websites like Quora can make a massive difference here.

Take It Into the Real World

Trade shows are one of the most important ways to promote your brand in a more human manner. It may not seem subtle, but when you go to trade shows and there’s a lot of bluff and bluster, music, lights, and everything in between, when there is a brand that’s a lot more casual or less pressuring in their approach, most of us might be more inclined to spend a bit of time with them.

We have to think about subtle ways to promote our businesses in the modern world. It’s not always about the big platforms!
