Being the literal lifesaver it is, chemotherapy can come with its own serious side effects. One of these side effects is its effect on eating habits. Eating well and often is a must when you’re fighting cancer and chemo can get in the way of that. Chemotherapy is responsible for a myriad of issues that interfere with maintaining a healthy diet and can affect people in different ways: it can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, or constipation. It can cause appetite loss, dry mouth, mouth sores, and even change one’s sense of taste and smell that can make eating unpleasant.
