10 Life Lessons from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

When you think of a powerful female leader – the words passion, strength, and wisdom likely come to mind. Whether women are breaking gender norms in a male-dominated industry or simply asking for the raise they deserve, female bosses everywhere are breaking the glass ceiling.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is leading the pack. As the youngest female to be elected to Congress, she’s made a name for herself. Despite becoming a figurative political punching bag, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez moves through with class and determination. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and doesn’t let anyone slow her down. Even with what feels like constant criticism from her opposers, AOC stays focused on her goals, representing her people and fighting towards her goals.

Most notably she’s not scared to use fear as a tool: “I’ve used fear as a guiding light instead of a reason to turn off…Fear tells us how to grow. Fear, like a lot of discomforts, forces us to choose: ‘Do I do this, or not?’”

Alexandria is a wonderful role model for women and people everywhere, and we can’t wait to see what life lesson we learn from her next. Check out 10 boss lady lessons we can learn from AOC put together by Hola. Get inspired and motivated to do something awesome.
